The pre-registration period for the 2026–2027 academic year for VHIR’s master’s programmes will be open from today, 12 January, until 1 September 2026, or until all available places are filled.This year marks the 13th edition of the official Master’s Degree in Translational Biomedical Research, which has already become one of the benchmarks for health research in Spain; the 2nd edition of the Lifelong Learning Master’s in Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship; and the 3rd edition of the Master’s in Clinical Trials Management and Coordination. The latter two are delivered by VHIR as an affiliated centre of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.Master’s Degree in Translational Biomedical ResearchMore than 450 students have already completed the Master’s Degree in Translational Biomedical Research, seeking to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to pursue research aimed at finding solutions to people’s health problems.The programme is oriented towards a research career, provides access to doctoral programmes, and offers students the opportunity to choose the area of biomedicine in which they wish to specialise and develop their training. The most distinctive feature of this master’s degree is that it is delivered entirely within a third-level Health Research Institute, with a teaching staff made up of basic and clinical researchers and physicians who are in constant contact with hospital patients.Master’s in Health Innovation and EntrepreneurshipThe Master’s in Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a lifelong learning qualification taught 100% in English, aims to train professionals capable of generating value intrinsically linked to the needs of the current healthcare system and market. To achieve this, creative and innovative thinking is fostered in order to develop entrepreneurial skills both internally and externally. The programme is designed to encourage the ability to create new solutions that impact the healthcare system through knowledge generation and the development of new products, technologies and services.Lifelong Learning Master’s in Clinical Trials Management and CoordinationThe Master’s in Clinical Trials Management and Coordination is a lifelong learning programme taught in Spanish, created to train new, high-level professional profiles that support healthcare professionals as well as the institutions and companies involved, in order to respond to the high existing demand and conduct clinical trials according to the highest quality standards.The most distinctive feature of VHIR’s master’s programmes is that they are delivered entirely within the environment of a leading tertiary hospital, the Vall d’Hebron Campus, a leader in both clinical trials and biomedical research, where the patient is always the first and final priority.
