Vall d'Hebron joins the #GivingTuesday movement with the campaign "Sueño de colores" to raise funds for the fight against cancer of women

#GivingTuesday is a global movement that wants to encourage collaboration with social causes and multiply the good actions of people. Vall d'Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus is a promoter of #GivingTuesday, along with eighteen other entities, and for this reason, this year we also join the movement with the campaign https://somnidecolors.vallhebron.com/ Somni de colors to raise funds for the fight against cancer of women, through various actions. The first one will take place on Friday, November 29th. Specifically, at the L'illa Diagonal de Barcelona mall, there will be a Vall d'Hebron booth where the well-known handkerchief of the Somni de colors will be sold and there will be divulging activities starting at 4:00 p.m. In addition, a fotoreclam will be installed to enhance the challenge #SumaContraElCáncer and motivate the visitors of the mall to acquire the solidarity handkerchief and spread the campaign to social networks.During the period of the Giving Tuesday, researchers at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), doctors and oncological patients at the Hospital will encourage all people to donate for the fight against women's cancer through the social networks of the hospital and join the most solidary day of the year. One day to share, to think about others and to act. Finally, Vall d'Hebron participates in two more initiatives related to Giving Tuesday: on the one hand, the Migranodearena platform has launched the challenge of https://www.migranodearena.org/reto/20800/sumate-a-la-lucha-contra-el-cancer-de-la-mujer achieving euros 2,000 for the Somni de colors project through one of our testimonies of the scarf In solidarity, Eva Who, an oncological patient from Vall d'Hebron who has successfully overcome the fight against cancer. If you achieve the figure before December 15, DKV will give euros 2,000 extra for the Dream of colors project to continue researching on women's cancer. On the other hand, we also participate in the testimonial contest #YoDonoPorque, where we have the possibility of winning euros 1,000 for any of the three existing categories with another of our testimonies of the handkerchief solidarity, Anna Altimiras: the category in the history more inspiring, to the most inspiring testimonial video or to the story that gets more popular votes. You can vote for the project on the contest https://yodonoporque.givingtuesday.es/voteme/880534/635390220?lc=eng website. What is Somni de colors?Somni de colors is a project promoted by Vall d'Hebron which aims to fund two major programs related to women's cancer. The first is the creation and development of support groups and emotional management for cancer patients that will impact at the most critical moments of the illness, as well as in the subsequent analysis of the impact that is generated on the patient in terms of reduction of stress, improvement of quality of life and reduction of anxiety in the face of uncertainty, thanks to these programs. With the other, a scholarship will be funded for three years by a young researcher who will be part of a Vall d'Hebron research group to develop a new biomedical research project linked to women's cancer.
