The Friends of the Bike Association "Els Almogàvers de l'Empordà" has organized the 1st Figueres Solidarity Walk 2017 to raise funds for research in Paediatric Neurology at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute. In the last 10 years, this association has alternated sport and charity and solidarity events throughout Catalonia.The walk will take place on Sunday, September 24 in Figueres. The starting point is the Castle of Sant Ferran de Figueres, where at 8 in the morning the solidarity t-shirts will be distributed and an hour later the walk will begin.Once the route has finished, the turn of the round table will take place which will count with Dr. Mireia del Toro, researcher of the http://bit.ly/2vgohFE Paediatric Neurology Research Group of the VHIR, Dr. Narcís Bardalet, Head of Forensic Medicine of Girona and Dr. Maria del Mar Garcia, neurologist and paediatrician of the Hospital Comarcal de Figueres.After the conferences, the most fun part will be where music shows can be enjoyed, t-shirt signatures by renowned motorcycle riders, magic show, etc.Throughout the day there will be several activities to raise money for research in paediatric neurology such as the sale of tickets for a draw of products, the sale of solidarity T-shirts, auction of two paintings by Empordà painters and the sale of stakes in the Christmas lottery.
