The project "http://www.vhir.org/salapremsa/mitjans/mitjans_detall.asp?Idioma=en&mv1=5&mv2=1&mh1=0&mh2=0&mh3=0&mh4=0&ms=0&any=2013&num=48" Global Tele Rehabilitation System, promoted by I2CAT Foundation in collaboration with Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR), Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (HUVH) and Vodafone Foundation in Spain, has been recognized with the Young Talent Forum Impulsa Award during the "http://www.vhir.org/salapremsa/mitjans/mitjans_detall.asp?http://www.parcudg.net/jornadaticsalut/" IV Meeting on R+D+I in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and Health, celebrated the 22nd and 23rd of May at the Universitat de Girona’s Science and Technology Park.The awarded project is an application that will be launched in 2014 which consists in a series of personalized exercises that patients of stroke must follow at their home in order to improve their mobility after suffering stroke. The system records the exercises to ease the control of the evolution of the treatment and allows programmed videoconferences between doctors and patients.In the meeting also were awarded a digital application which assesses the acuteness of chronic pain, a tool for enhancing videoconferences between doctors and patients, an electronic exchange platform for medical information, and a system to follow chronic patients in drugstores. Universitat de Girona’s Science and Technology Park, TIC Salut Foundation, the e-Santé Center in Toulouse (France), the Pyrenees-Mediterranean Euroregion and the UBI France have organized the fourth edition of this meeting addressed to research groups, companies and technological and assistance centers in the field of health and ICTs.
