On September 21, the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) received the visit of Cristina Marsal, founding partner of Sandman Capital Advisors EAF, Jaume Puig, general manager of GVC Gaesco Gestión, and Lluís Cosín, head of the Centralization of Funds Service - General Treasury Subdirectorate of the Generalitat de Catalunya, who, together with Arnau Palà, head of the economic area of CERCA, are part of the temporary financial investments commission of VHIR.

During the visit, Inma Fuentes, coordinator of the Clinical Core Facilities, showed them the spaces where clinical trials are carried out at VHIR and the staff that makes them possible. In addition, they visited the Migraine Adaptive Brain Center of Vall d'Hebron, a space directed by Dr. Patricia Pozo, head of the Headache and Neurological Pain group of VHIR and head Section of the Neurology Service and Headache Unit of Vall d'Hebron Hospital, aimed to improve the treatment of patients with migraine and promote research in this disease. At the meeting, the commission was accompanied by Dr. Begoña Benito, VHIR director, Montse Giménez, VHIR manager, Xavier Bros, Finance director at VHIR, and Montse Abad, head of the Accounting and Revenue Unit at VHIR.

The members of the committee, as a sign of their commitment to biomedical research, provide disinterested support to VHIR. With quarterly meetings, its functions include advising on temporary financial investments, ensuring that agreements for the acquisition, disposal, alignment or encumbrance of temporary financial instruments are adopted in accordance with current regulations, the Financial Code and VHIR's Temporary Financial Investment Policy and other agreements adopted by the Board of Trustees. In addition, they inform the Delegated Committee of the Board of Trustees or the Board of Trustees itself of the proposed resolutions and are responsible for validating the annual report on temporary financial investments.
