UPC/CIT and VHIR meet to explore future collaborations

A delegation from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) belonging to its Center for Innovation and Technology (CIT), have met at Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) with researchers and professionals from Vall d'Hebron University Hospital with innovative projects. The meeting's objective was to publicize the activities of CIT and some of its associated centers to detect and identify possible partnerships with Vall d'Hebron. From VHIR attended its director, Dr. Joan X. Comella, who introduced the session, together with the director of innovation, Francesc Iglesias, who presented VHIR's innovation program. From UPC/CIT intervened Susana Sanchez, director of CIT, and Antonio Alvarez, technology transfer agent, which introduced the activity of this center of the UPC. After that, three of the centers linked to CIT have exposed the highlights of each one. Pere Caminal, director, and Manuel Gonzalez, developer, introduced Biomedical Research Center CREB, Jaume Pujol, member of Executive Committee, and Jaume Castellà, manager, gave the keys of the Center for the Development of Sensors, Instrument and Systems UPC CD6, while Josep Lluís Larriba, director, and Pere Baleta, manager, have approached the potential of Data Management Center DAMA UPC. The meeting was fruitful and contacts have been established, plus a basis for future agreements between all the institutions.
