22/03/2012 Vall d'Hebron and Cedars-Sinai will collaborate in technology transfer and research innovation 22/03/2012 Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (HUVH), Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center will collaborate in technology transfer and research innovation thanks to an agreement signed recently at HUVH in Barcelona between representatives of both institutions. Dr. Jaume Raventós, HUVH general manager, and Dr. Joan Comella, VHIR’s director, signed the agreement together with Mr. Edward M. Prunchunas, Cedars-Sinai’s Senior Vice-President of Finance and CFO, and Mr. Richard S. Katzman, Cedars-Sinai’s Vice President of Academic Affairs. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has developed a successful technology transfer program which utilizes standard policies, processes and documents to identify, detect, assess, protect and commercialize inventions developed by its researchers. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center will assist VHIR with the intellectual property protection and commercialization of VHIR's technologies.
