Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (HUVH) hosted on Thursday the prize-giving ceremony of the First Research Project Grants in Nursing. The first one was for the nurse Pilar Gil for her project “Calidad de vida relacionada con la salud de los ninos con càncer y de sus cuidadores y necesidades de cuidados percibidas por ambos: estudio de cohortes retrospectivo”.On the other hand, the nurse Vanessa Bueno was awarded with the second prize for her project “Eficacia de la posición de Sims modificada materna, respecto posiciones libres en la rotación de variedades fetales occipitoposteriores persistentes durante el trabajo de parto”.Dr. Teresa Moreno, responsible of the Unit in Health Care Research (Investén-isciii) of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, opened the ceremony with a lecture about how to apply the results of research into the clinical practice. The unit of Training and Research from the Nursing Board at HUVH organized this call with the aim to boost the development of research projects in nursing, to foster the participation of clinical professionals with little experience in research and to generate results potentially transferrable to the market.
