Vall d'Hebron has scheduled many activities for the World Ovarian Cancer Day

Proposals include a solidarity gospel concert and the Bread and Chocolate Second Edition

Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and the University Hospital Vall d’Hebron will lead the acts for the World Ovarian Cancer Day, the 8th of May. Among the scheduled proposals, stand out the solidarity gospel concert by The Gospel Viu Choir and the selling of signature Bread and Chocolate to fund for the research in ovarian cancer, made by the creative bakery artists "http://panescreativos.com/" Daniel Jordà and "http://panescreativos.com/" Oriol Balaguer.These are the scheduled activities organized for the next days:Monday 4th of May:Presentation and discussion of new findings in ovarian cancer by clinical specialists and basic researchers from the group of Biomedicine and Translational Gynecology. Tuesday 5th of May: Solidarity concert for the research in ovarian cancer. The music group The Gospel Viu Choir will act in the Luz de Gas at 21:30h. Tickets will be sold the 5th of May in the Luz de Gas from one hour before the concert, or anticipated "http://www.faigrecerca.org/colabora-vhir-donacio.php?id=105" in this link. The price is 15 euros, which will be donated to research in this field in the VHIR.Wednesday 6th of May: "http://www.asociacionasaco.es/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Jornada-DMCO-Barcelona-2015.pdf" Seminar about the situation of the ovarian cancer nowadays: prevention, symptoms and detection. The Association of Ovarian Cancer Affected (ASACO) organizes this meeting, where many doctors from different catalan centers will participate. From the VHIR, the oncologist Ana Oaknin will attend.Thursday 7th of May:Presentation of the signature Bread and Chocolate that will be sold during the World Day in different places in Barcelona. Daniel Jordà and Oriol Balaguer are collaborating again to help this cause recovering this traditional combination with a solidarity objective: sell it with a symbolic prize (2 Euros) to raise awareness of the disease and fundraise for the research. The initiative has the support of the Gremi Català de Pastissers i Forners, and the creation will be sold the 8th of May in the Arcasa cafes of the Vall d’Hebron Hospital, in both establishments of the authors, in the Boqueria Market and in the BCNandCAKE shops that are attached to the campaignFriday 8th of May: World Ovarian Cancer DaySale of the Bread with Chocolate to raise awareness of the disease in the halls of the Maternal and Child area and the General area of the Hospital Vall d’Hebron. The researchers from VHIR and from the Gynecology Service of the Hospital will do the awareness campaign, with the collaboration ASACO representatives and volunteers.On the same information stands solidarity pins will be sold and also solidarity bracelets, which are created by Samburu for the occasion.
