Vall d'Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus is committed to innovation and excellence by presenting about a hundred activities at Healthio.

Vall d'Hebron Campus participates with three stands in the first edition of Healthio, the new fair on health innovations held at the Palace of Congresses of Montjuïc from 3 to 5 May. The stands are for the Maternity Hospital of Vall d'Hebron, a stand shared with Hospital Clínic and the stand of Prosics.Healthio will become for three days a platform for exchange of knowledge and experiences open to all with the aim of promoting patient empowerment, where Vall d'Hebron Campus will bring about a hundred activities that reflect their commitment to innovation and excellence in research and patient care.Maternity Hospital StandThus, all visitors who pass through the stand of the Maternity Hospital of Vall d'Hebron will have the opportunity to see first-hand and in a didactic and interactive way, among others, these issues:- Cancer in children and adolescents 2021: Precision Medicine and experimental models. Avatars of the models used in personalized medicine and research of new molecules to get new drugs against childhood cancer will be presented. Thursday, May 4 from 9:30am to 10:30am.- The Germans Project, an initiative to accompany and prepare siblings of infants admitted to the Neonatal ICU before the first visit occurs. Consists of showing the environment (incubators, monitors, sensors, etc.) through games to reduce stress that can be generated. It is a pioneering project in the state in line to promote humanization of the hospital. Thursday, May 4 from 12:30am to 1:30pm.- The improvement in the quality of life due to robotic and minimally invasive surgery for gynecological cancer as well as the subsequent multimodal rehabilitation entails benefits for the patient and the hospital, because it reduces the economic costs. Regarding ovarian cancer research, it will discuss the discovery of a marker in saliva to detect this type of cancer. Wednesday, May 3 from 10:30am to 11:30am.- Ideas of Technological Innovation of Paediatric Cardiology. It will allow to know how to make early diagnosis and home monitoring of paediatric patients with arrhythmias, how the project Cardio-Patch works, which allows monitoring of some parameters using an adhesive that is connected to the phone. And finally, discuss the use of new 3D printing technologies, along with new imaging techniques such as MRI and high resolution CT, offering the ability to print size-made hearts that surgeons can analysis in detail before performing surgery, thus allowing them to test in vitro what the best strategy for each case. Thursday, May 4 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.Stand shared by Vall d'Hebron Hospital and Hospital ClínicHere, the professionals of the Hospital Vall d'Hebron will present activities on the use of apps for the care of stroke patients, nanomedicine and nanotechnology in health, digestive system and its impact on health, camouflage workshop on how to live after a burn, how technology can enhance independent living and how they can improve processes by getting into the skin of the patient.Prosics Stand Cos At the stand of Prosics (Program for International Health ICS) can be found permanent activities such as the Laboratory for Tropical Medicine, The Mosquitoes corner, Tropical games and eSPiCTolls: Educational tools in public and community health- tools based in evidence, specific activities and forum talks. Cos Forums HealthioIn addition to the activities in the stands, about 60 professionals participate in the forums with talks on subjects as diverse as treating headaches, preservation of fertility, the Program of Specialist Caregiver in the child transplant, minimally invasive surgery, apps to control weight after obesity surgery, Telecremats program or remote diagnostics in major burns, the use of 3D-made implants in brain surgery, finding biomarkers in oncology, Hospital humanization, innovation in international health or research in vaccines, among others.
