The redesign aims to apply the successful Campus image line to the Hospital and the Research Institute.

Eight years after the creation of the Vall d'Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus brand, we have taken a step forward by harmonising the visual identities of the Hospital and the Research Institute.

Coinciding with the imminent celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute, from June 2024 onwards, and the upcoming 70th anniversary of the University Hospital in 2025, a rebranding has been carried out to apply the successful Campus image to the Hospital and the Research Institute.

To begin with, the visibility of the basic line of the Campus logo was improved, renewing it and making it more legible, without losing the essence and power of the brand. This change maintains the balance of the logo with the Vall d'Hebron concept, unifying the digital and printed formats.

Following this change, the next step was to apply the strength of the Campus logo image to the Hospital and Research Institute. The Hospital logo will now be based on the concept of Vall d'Hebron as a great axis, specified in its baseline with its definition as a University Hospital. The colour chosen to define the Hospital is a shade of blue aligned with the base colour of the Campus logo.

The next step was to apply the change to the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute logo, which until now had been based on the old Hospital logo design, but in the Institute's own colour. From now on, the image will also have as its main axis the image of the Campus logo and feature Vall d'Hebron brand, maintaining the institution's own colour and specifying the concept of the Research Institute in the baseline in the English version. The logo is completed with the R representing affiliation with CERCA Centres.

Coinciding with the 30th anniversary, the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute will also have an image associated with this celebration, which will accompany the new logo during the year.

We have also worked on the composition of the Campus logo and the Hospital and Research Institute logos in cases where they are presented together.
This change has also been applied to the joint composition of all Campus logos, which includes the logos of the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) and the Multiple Sclerosis Centre of Catalonia (CEMCAT), which remain unchanged, and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), which has also been part of the Campus since 2019.

Coinciding with the 30th anniversary, the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute will also have an image associated with this celebration, which will accompany the new logo during the year.
