We present, for the fifth consecutive year, our commitment to communicate our scientific and institutional results of 2015: http://annualreport2015.vhir.org/ the multimedia annual report. In addition to the printable annual report, the digital edition continues to bring modernity and agility, videos and graphics that help to explain what we have done during this period of 12 months.2015 was a strategic year: we closed the Strategic Plan 2011-2015 and laid the foundations of the new one for the 2016-2020 period. For the first time, we hold a scientific retreat, in which group leaders, principal investigators, young researchers and the heads of the VHIR's structure participated. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the outlines of the new Strategic Plan, as well as the present and the future of our research.Once again, in the multimedia edition of our annual report, we have included 5 videos of the most important publications in 2015, according to the votes of our principal investigators. The Director of the Institute, Dr. Joan Comella, and the manager of the hospital, Dr. Vicenç Martínez Ibáñez, also review the most important facts of 2015, such as the redistribution of areas and the actions taken in the field of personalized medicine.In this year we also launched the Innovation and Training Program, in which first-rate speakers participated in different sessions. The videos of the 7 sessions are also included in the multimedia Annual Report.The report also focuses on the 9 new funded young researchers during 2015 thanks to our best friends. People's solidarity that allows the beginning of a scientific career in our labs doing their PhD Thesis in, for instance, oncology, neuroscience or infectious diseases.
