This is an initiative at the European level that aims to achieve an evaluation scientific research system centralized in the Peer Review method, turning it into a primarily qualitative system supported by high-quality quantitative indicators. The objective is to progress together towards a more inclusive research, with more impact, quality and efficiency, and adapted to the particularities of each discipline and social context. In total, more than 350 European research organizations have joined the proposal. The signatories from 40 countries include public and private funding bodies, universities, research centers and institutes, technical infrastructures, associations, national and regional administrations, evaluation and accreditation agencies, and others... The aim is to represent the broad spectrum of actors and organizations that make research possible. In Catalonia more than a dozen centers, agencies and universities have signed the agreement. To create an inclusive and collaborative space to propose new evaluation methods, showcase successful models and practices, and share reflections and knowledge, the Coalition to Advance Research Evaluation (CoARA) was founded on December 1st. The coalition will offer support to the organizations, but it will be up to them to decide which strategies and measures are most appropriate for them given their particular context. VHIR actively participated in the meeting that formalized the coalition and selected the leadership team. Twitter LinkedIn Facebook Whatsapp
