VHIR participates in a discussion on innovation to inaugurate the fourth edition of "http://www.bioemprenedorxxi.cat/" BioEmprenedorXXIOn May 3 there was a roundtable discussion on the outcrop of innovative projects in biomedicine, biotechnology and medical technology in public research institutions with the participation of Francesc Iglesias, director of innovation of tVall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), and in which also were d Xavier Rubies (Centre for Genomic Regulation), and Cristina Horcajada (Institute for Biomedical Research of Barcelona), moderated by the manager of the Bosch I Gimpera Foundation, Carme Verdaguer. The roundtable ended the presentation of the fourth edition of BioEmprenedorXXI, consolidated as a reference in the creation and growth of innovative companies in the field of life sciences in the broadest sense: biotechnology, biomedicine, environment and agri-food sector. In this sense, one of the main objectives is to support the setting up of innovative enterprises with a global vision for the transferring to the market of the research made in universities and research centers. The inscriptions period finishes on May 18.It is a joint initiative of the Caixa, Barcelona Council through Barcelona Activa, Biocat, Genoma Spain and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, which this year also has the collaboration of Almirall. The union of these public and private entities ensures program participants a near view of the major scientific and technological advances, business concerns and needs of the market. The presentation ceremony, chaired by the Deputy Mayor for Finance and Economic Development of City Council and president of Barcelona Activa, Jordi William Carnes, was made at the headquarters of Barcelona Activa.
