Instituto de Salud Carlos III promoted since 2008 the project of Consortium to Support Biomedical Research Network (CAIBER) as a platform for clinical trials. CAIBER has already included forty of the more powerful and competitive health centers of the country, establishing frameworks for cooperation with the autonomous communities, research centers, pharmaceutical industry and European platforms and infrastructure clinical trials.
