VHIR will accredit its Master's Degree in Translational Biomedical Research

The External Evaluation Committee (CAE) will hold an external visit to complete the master's accreditation process on March 6th.

During the past year 2017, coordinators, teachers, students and support staff for the master's degree have participated in carrying out the process of accreditation of the http://master.vhir.org/ Master's Degree in Translational Biomedical Research of the VHIR. This is a process that is carried out every 4 years in official master's degrees in order to evaluate the quality of the degree according to the European standards (ESG) of: Quality of the training programRelevance of public informationEfficiency of the Internal Quality Management System (SGIQ)Adaptation of teaching staff to the training programEfficacy of learning support systemsQuality of the results of the training programs The VHIR master's degree has already passed a first phase of Self-assessment, with the presentation of the Self-assessment Report that has been prepared by the Internal Evaluation Committee (CAI) appointed by the centre and now arranges to pass the phase of External evaluation.During the external evaluation phase, the External Evaluation Committee (CAE) appointed by the University Quality Agency of Catalonia (AQU) and made of a president, a secretary, an academic member, a student representative and a professional representative, will visit the facilities of the VHIR and will meet with the different agents (students, teaching staff, employers, graduates) involved in the academic activity of the VHIR. This external visit will take place on March 6thDuring the external visit, the CAE reserves an hour to attend to other involved who have not been summoned to the programmed interviews. Therefore, any person that wishes to collaborate can be presented to the Hearing Office with the CAE, which will take place on March 6th from 2:15pm - 3:15pm in the Collserola Building's Courseroom, to explain their experience or express your opinion. Check images/content/agenda2.pdf here the complete agenda of the visit.Upon completion of the visit, the CAE will prepare a report with the results of the external visit and will send it to the Accreditation Committee (CA). Based on this report, the CA will issue the accreditation report, which will be sent to the Generalitat de Catalunya, the MECD and the Council of Universities. The latter will issue the corresponding accreditation resolution and update the degree in the RUCT (Register of Universities, Centres and Titles) based on the result obtained.The commitment and effort of all the groups involved reinforces the VHIR's commitment to teaching and continuous improvement. Achieving accreditation by AQU will be a milestone and a very important acknowledgment, which will allow consolidating the master's program and positioning the VHIR as a teaching centre, projecting its educational offer in the coming years.All the information related to the accreditation process is public and available on the web of the master http://master.vhir.org/ http://master.vhir.org
