Vall d'Hebron Institute for Research (VHIR) and the Official College of doctors of Barcelona (COMB) have signed an agreement under which COMB will offer services of technological innovation, analysis and support of entrepreneurial activities to VHIR's researchers. As a result of VHIR intention of becoming an institution that combines innovating with its values of excellence in research and COMB's willingness to give service on its members, the agreement will contribute to the promotion of innovative projects linked to the health sector and which have been designed under the environment of both institutions. Some of the benefits of this collaboration is the promotion of entrepreneurial culture among health professionals at VHIR, by organizing meetings and seminars to provide adequate training to raise awareness of the tools for innovation and entrepreneurship. Also, they will detect together innovative ideas and opportunities through regular briefings and interviews in all areas of activity (scientific, management, technology, operations, channel, strategy, etc ...). The agreement will create a portfolio of innovative ideas and monitor their progress with management criteria adapted from the innovation processes used by venture capital, and assist in the implementation of ideas, opportunities and projects that may result.COMB, where appropriate, will introduce as contributors to public and private institutions, will add value to the project by providing strategic partners, advice to entrepreneurs about the opportunity to build prototypes of their projects and services offered by the network XPCAT to its development, and facilitate access to finance with financial instruments such as venture capital firms that collaborate with ACC1Ó and COMB. The agreement will have a monitoring committee to improve continuous operation.
