The Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) is better now after January 28, when there was the first meeting and the constitution of the Business Advisory Board. This Board was an option that VHIR had as its Statutes says. Finally, the Board of Trustees approved it on June 2015 and after a few months has started its activities. This new Board will have as main objective to promote the participation of the business sector in the activities of VHIR, advise the management and the Board of Trustees and collaborate with the detection of economical needs, participate in joint projects and facilitate the access of the Institute to public and private resources. After a few months in which have been selected the most strategic members from various sectors, finally it was formed and attended the first meeting, where they made contact with all the results, future strategies and objectives of VHIR explained by its director, Dr. Joan Comella. After that, there was a round of discussions in which they gave the first contributing ideas of how they could work with VHIR as joint body and at the same time can provide each of them separately.The Business Advisory Board will meet again in September to choose a President and deal with specific objectives.
