On the occasion of #GivingTuesday, researchers of the Ovarian Cancer lab conducted science workshops for children in the shopping centre of Barcelona.

Ovarian cancer researchers from Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) left the lab for an afternoon to bring science to children who visited l'Illa Diagonal. On the occasion of #GivingTuesday, a day to give away, the researchers reminded visitors of the shopping centre the possibility of becoming http://www.faigrecerca.org/colabora-vhir-amics.php "Friend of the Vall d'Hebron's Research", to help them cure diseases and progress in the treatments of tomorrow.Among the proposed activities, the children were able to extract DNA from tomatoes to create a DNA strand with candy, coloring the different organs of the body and take a picture dressed up like scientists and with the mascot of the Institute, Vhir. Throughout the day collectors were reporting on the work of VHIR and the Predoctoral Grants Program, and at 5 pm, the Vall d'Hebron Choir joined to perform a free concert for all visitors at the centre. In addition to the activities at the shopping centre, the http://givingtuesday.es/projects/la-inigualable-sensacion-de-investigar-y-salvar-vidas/ challenge "Mi Grano de Arena" for the #GivingTuesday will remain open for a few weeks. In addition, the #GivingTuesday does not end here: the brand of women's clothing Intropia wanted to join the campaign to sponsor a young researcher and from 6 to 8 December organized a new edition of the solidarity fashion market for the research at Vall d'Hebron. The solidarity market will be held at the Maritime Museum of Barcelonna, from 10am to 8pm.Finally, the Chocolate Museum also wanted to join the campaign #GivingTuesday, and Saturday 26 organized a charity workshop that was a success!
