The inflammatory intestinal diseases are increasing in the developed countries. To know for what reason and to be able to face them better, researchers from Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) are studying the bacteria of the human intestine. To talk about it, Dr. Francisco Guarner, from the research group in digestive physiology and physiopathology at VHIR, together with Dr. Victoria Cardona, responsible of the Service of Allergies at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital and member of the systemic diseases group at VHIR, participated on January 30 in a debate of TVE's show 'Para todos lal 2'. With them also was present Dr. Maria Anunciación Martin Mateos, from the Service of Immunology and Allergies of Hospital Sant Joan de Deu. Before the debate there was a summary in which Dr. Chaysavanh Manichanh and Dr. Francesc Casellas, also from the digestive physiology and physiopathology group at VHIR, explained the keys of their research together with other members of the laboratory.
