The winners of the Vall d'Hebron Photographic Contest 2018 collect their work in sheet format

A total of 53 photographs were presented in the 2018 edition, of which 26 corresponded to the Scientific Photography category.

Dr. Albert Salazar, Manager of Vall d'Hebron, and Dr. Joan X. Comella, director of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), today gave the winners of the Vall d'Hebron Photo Contest their work in sheet format. In the 2018 edition, participation increased 60.6%: of 33 professionals from Vall d'Hebron who participated in the previous year, 53 of which attended in 2018, 26 in the category of Photography Scientific and 27 in the Hospital of the People. In total, 96 photographs were presented, of which 22 of the winners were selected.In the act of delivery, each of the authors has picked up their image in sheet format. Snapshots like 'A smile hears everything', by Eva Padró, in which a volunteer from the poppies makes a girl laugh, or 'Expectation', the portrait of a Xavier Teixidó operating theater, in scientific photographs such as 'Citoplasma dormido', by Víctor Franco, or Micro Mandala, by Priscila Guimaraes. A total of 1,098 people voted for the winners, a figure that represents an increase of 41.9% of the vote over the last edition. The Vall d'Hebron workers who wish to participate in this edition can already present their photographs.
