Garnacha, and Dr MA Poca, from the Neurotramatology and neurosurgery Unity (UNINN) of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) organize the XIV International Symposium monitoring and treatment of neurocritical patients (PIC 2010), that will take place at the Hotel Almenara in Barcelona from 16 to 20 November 2010. The Symposium, and the corresponding Pre-Symposium courses, meet different specialists interested in a common goal: to better understand the pathophysiology and improve the treatment of various acute neurological diseases as traumatic brain injury (TBI), subarachnoid hemorrhage and ischemic injury. However, the undoubted star of these courses each year is the today considered as the epidemic of young people, the severe traumatic brain injury (TBI).
