Ignasi Prats Méndez I am a bioinformatician in the respiratory viruses group of the Microbiology unit. I am 22 years old and I just finished my Bioinformatics degree in January this year. I am highly motivated to learn, gain experience and improve in general. I am hardworking, organized and efficient in my work. Before I finished bachillerato, I did my research internship at IDBAPS in Gemma Fuster's group. There I was mainly in the wet lab, and had my first contact with the world of research. Later on, I decided to study Bioinformatics. There, I did the internship and the FDP at IDIBAPS, this time as a bioinformatician. Once I finished my degree, I began to look for jobs. Now I have been working since the 1st of March of 2023 as a bioinformatician in the Respiratory Virus group of the Microbiology unit.
