Digital Transformation Directorate This new area is created with the aim of defining, accompanying and reinforcing the digital transformation of the VHIR and will be made up of the IT, Quality, Processes and Document Management Units. It will be a cross-cutting area that will define and direct the strategy for integrating new technologies with existing tools and methods to date, adapting and updating their processes and infrastructures with the aim of gaining efficiency and accompanying the growth of the Institution. Director Information Technology Unit The VHIR Information Technology Unit is formed by an operational core of professionals who lead the processes associated with the VHIR information technology systems, facilitating the management, planning and monitoring of the subcontracted services and the projects under development. It responds to the information technology requirements of both research personnel and the research support units at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) with regard to IT technologies and infrastructures. One of the main objectives of the Information Technology Unit is the management of a centralised database called Hippocrates/Hypatia, created to manage all the knowledge of the institution, covering both internal and external processes.
