Actualment sóc Cap del Servei d’Urologia i Trasplantament renal. Desenvolupo la meva activitat dins de l’àrea de uro-oncologia amb especial dedicació a la patologia tumoral renal, cirurgía minimament invasiva (cirurgia robòtica) i el Trasplantament renal.

Actualment sóc Cap del Servei d’Urologia i Trasplantament renal. Desenvolupo la meva activitat dins de l’àrea de uro-oncologia amb especial dedicació a la patologia tumoral renal, cirurgía minimament invasiva (cirurgia robòtica) i el Trasplantament renal. 

Em vaig llicenciar en Medicina i Cirurgia per la Universitat de Barcelona a l’any 1994, realitzant la meva especialització via MIR a l’Hospital de Bellvitge.
Al finalitzar la em vaig incorporar com a metge adjunt al servei d’Urologia de l’Hospital vall Hebron on he estat Coordinador de Trasplantament renal i Cap Clínic de l’Unitat de Patologia prostàtica, renal i Trasplantament fins 2019. Participo activament en nombrosos projectes d’investigació en càncer renal i trasplantament dins del Grup de Fisiopatologia renal del VHIR on sóc investigador.  
Doctor en medicina per la Univesitat de Barcelona des de 2004 i professor de cirurgia (urologia) de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Unitat docent de l’Hospital Vall d´Hebron).
Sóc postgraduat en Gestió clínica i farmaco-economia.
Pertanyo a la Asociación Española de Urología, la Societat Europea d’Urologia (EAU), la Societat catalana d’Urologia i ASESA.  
He estat autor de diferents articles en revistes tant nacionals com internacionals i director de varies tesis doctorals.
També em vaig graduar en Història de l’Art per la UNED amb especialització en art modern.

Research lines

Markers, prognosis and outcomes of kidney cancer (Clinical research)

One main objective is the discovery of useful markers for detection and prognosis of tumors of the kidney. In addition, we are analysing the outcomes of minimal invasive radio-frequence ablation technique.
