15/05/2019 The Experimental Surgery Unit (ESU) obtains the ISO 9001:2015 Certification of Quality Management Systems 15/05/2019 The commitment to the quality of VHIR services is part of the development of its Strategic Plan. The Experimental Surgery Unit (ESU) has obtained the certification of ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management Systems, following the line initiated by the other Scientific-Technical Services that have been certified in the last 3 years. The commitment to the quality of VHIR services is part of the development of the VHIR Strategic Plan.The scope of the certification includes the services of the Unit for management in preclinical animal models for the purpose of support for research and teaching in experimentation models, Expert advice on anesthesia, analgesia and resuscitation protocols, pre and postoperative animal welfare and care, surgical and post-surgical assistance, sampling and necropsies.The certification audit was carried out by the certification company TüV Rheinland, where the compliance with the standard and the implementation of a Quality Management System based on continuous improvement are reviewed. The certificates are valid for 3 years although the monitoring audits must be carried out annually during the period of validity of the certificate.The ISO 9001 CertificationThe ISO 9001 certification is the most widespread Quality Management tool in the world, with over one million certificates in 175 countries.
