24/03/2014 VHIR launches a series of conferences on rare diseases 24/03/2014 Fundación Areces sponsors 8 out of the 12 seminars that will take place in Barcelona and Madrid On April 1st, started the first series of conferences on rare diseases organized by Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR), with the lecture of "http://www.vhir.org/activitats/relacioactivitats_detall.asp?Idioma=en&any=2014&num=37&mv1=4&mv2=1&titol=Registros+de+enfermedades+rara" Dr. Manuel Posada, director of the rare diseases institute at Instituto de Salud Carlos III. The Fundación Areces sponsors 8 out of the 12 seminars that will take place in Barcelona and Madrid, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the Institute.The first lecturer who visited Vall d’Hebron talked about rare diseases registries which are basic data tools to foster research and improving the medical attention to these patients.
