In 2012 I finished my residency in Thoracic Surgery at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital and later I worked as a specialist surgeon at Cruces University Hospital in the Basque Country.During my training I did training stays at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer in New York and Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital in China, expanding my knowledge in lung cancer surgery by videothoracoscopy and robotic surgery.Since 2019 I have rejoined the Thoracic Surgery and Lung Transplant team at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital. I actively participate in various lines of research in the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute with projects related to viral infection in lung tissue and in the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology with studies on immunotherapy in lung cancer.
