Speaker: Dr. Patricia Zarzosa Martínez, is a postdoctoral researcher in the Sarcoma Laboratory of the Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Group, Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR).

Abstract:
Targeted therapies are transforming cancer treatment by improving patient outcomes while minimizing toxicity. However, there is an especially critical therapeutic gap in pediatric oncology, where effective targeted treatments are urgently needed. Pediatric soft-tissue sarcomas still rely heavily on genotoxic chemotherapy, which causes severe long-term side effects and offers limited benefit for patients with aggressive or relapsed disease.

Host: Dr. Josep Roma Castanyer, Main researcher Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders. Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR).
