Briza Pérez López

I have obtained the PhD in Chemistry granted by the Autonomous University of Barcelona. My principal focus of research is based on the fusion of materials of nano- and micro-metric scales with different types of biological molecules on different platforms for the development of electrochemical (bio)sensors. Nowadays, I am working in the development of biodevices for diagnostic applications related with the malaria detection.

Nowadays, I am working in the development of biodevices for diagnostic applications related with the malaria detection.

I am graduated in Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Hidalgo State. (UAEH), Mexico.

I have obtained a Diploma of Advanced Study (DEA) in Chemical Process Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and a PhD in Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). I carried out a Postdoctoral stay at University of Western Ontario.

I have worked in different strategies to improve the performance of nanomaterials-based (bio)sensing platforms for applications in health, food and environmental using electrochemical detection techniques. I have carried out a Postdoctoral stay to work in the development of microsensors technology. During the last years, I have participated in several national and international research works based on nanobiotechnology. I have worked in the management and development of national and European projects related with biosensors and intelligent systems.
