Maria Angeles Crespo Cuadrado I work as international project manager in the Pre-Award team of the Competitive Research Unit at the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). My main role is to advise VHIR principal investigators in the identification of competitive international calls relevant to their research lines, promoting their participation in both public and private funding programmes. I also provide support in the preparation and coordination of international research projects, contributing to the identification of strategic elements that can strengthen the coherence, scientific quality, and potential impact of the proposals. I hold a degree in Nanotechnology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a PhD in Bioengineering from Newcastle University. As part of my project management training, I also hold the PRINCE2 and Lean Six Sigma certifications. In recent years, I have actively participated in the writing and justification of both international and national research proposals, including EIC, AEI and Horizon Europe calls, among others. I have also collaborated in the coordination and follow-up of interdisciplinary projects involving clinical and research centres, fostering the creation of synergies and the transfer of knowledge.
