30/01/2012 BMV course on Clinical Excellence in Cardiology 30/01/2012 During January 26th and 27th, more tan 200 cardiologists have visited Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (HUVH) to attend the 2nd edition of the "BMV course on Clinical Excellence in Cardiology". The BMV course is a joint initiative of the Services of Cardiology of HUVH, Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañon in Madrid and Hospital Clínico in Valladolid. The course aims to improve the cardiovascular health of society through continued medical education program promoting excellent, patient centered clinical practice in cardiology.The course format is based on Keynote lectures and discussion of real clinical cases on prevalent and complex cardiac diseases in a highly interactive format. Interaction is ensured by the useby the audience of individual voting devices. Experts present lectures and cases whose scientific production has importantly contributed to the development of the different health problems discussed. The Director of Medical Care of HUVH, Dr. Jaume Roigé, the Director of Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), Dr. Joan Comella, and the Director of Education of HUVH, Dr. Maria José Cerqueira, opened the course. The BMV course is an itinerant educational event held annually. The next edition will be in Valladolid on January 31, 2013.
