I obtained my medical degree and PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and completed my residency training in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital. I also completed a clinical and research fellowship at Western University (Canada), focused on connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, and systemic sclerosis. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Western University and a staff physician in the Rheumatology Department at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital.nnMy research activity focuses on systemic autoimmune diseases, especially systemic sclerosis, vasculitis, IgG4-related disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. I have participated in competitive research projects and international clinical trials, with a particular interest in epidemiology and innovative treatments. I am co-founder of the Spanish IgG4-related disease registry and collaborate with international groups linked to EULAR, the NIH, and Western University. I have published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in international journals and have an H-index of 18.nnI am also involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, as well as in the supervision of residents and fellows, integrating clinical care, research, and academic training.
