Marta Vila Pueyo

Sóc una neurocientífica especialitzada en models preclínics de la migranya i altres cefalees. Després d'obtenir el títol de Biologia i el màster en Genètica Avançada a la UAB, vaig realitzar el doctorat en "Genètica i Epigenètica dels trastorns neurològics paroxístics" al VHIR. Gràcies a una beca del AGAUR i del International Headache Society, vaig realitzar la meva estança Postdoctoral al Headache group del King's College London durant 7 anys, on em vaig focalitzar en l'estudi de la fisiopatologia de la migranya mitjançant models preclínics murins. L'any 2021 vaig retornar al VHIR mitjançant un contracte Sara Borrell i una Marie Curie Slodowska Action - Individual Fellowship (MSCA-IF2020).

Entre els projectes més rellevants en Covid-19 destaca la participació del VHIR en assaigs clínics per provar l’eficàcia i seguretat de vacunes com ara Janssen, Pfizer-BioNTech en el col·lectiu d’embarassades, i Hipra.

Quan el mal de cap postCOVID-19 persisteix durant un mes, existeix un 50% de probabilitats de que continuï present 9 mesos després.

Els resultats mostren que existeixen dos tipus d’atacs de migranya en funció de si els nivells de CGRP augmenten o no durant la fase aguda. La classificació per criteris moleculars ajudaria a oferir un tractament personalitzat a cada pacient.
